SA-44106

Summary

Transport error occurs on integrating Sales Automation 7.21 application's built-in Connect-SOAP rule with Microsoft (MS) Exchange.

Error Messages

Error: Transport error 401 Error: Anonymous Request Disallowed

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create an Appointment in Pega Sales Automation and synchronize the it with MS Exchange.
  2. Create an impersonation account on the Exchange with impersonation privileges for all the users (who manage appointments in Sales Automation).
  3. Maintain the impersonated account in the EWS_Integration_AuthProfile Authentication Profile.
  4. Enter the user name and password in the EWS_Integration_AuthProfile in the Designer Studio (after setting up the impersonation account).
  5. Fill out an Appointment in the Sales Force Automation (SFA) application.
  6. Create the Appointment and click the Send button.

Root Cause

The out-of-the-box EWS_Integration_AuthProfile Authentication Profile was pre-configured with Basic Authentication. A new Authentication Profile must be created using the NTLM option as the Exchange service made use of NTLM authentication.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change to create a new Authentication Profile with name EWS_Integration_AuthProfile and select the Type as NTLM.
