Define your application based on the work that moves through your organization. Use case lifecycle management to capture business objectives as you define each stage that drives a case to completion.

Use case lifecycle management to design your application according to your business objectives.

Case lifecycle management.

Dynamic, case lifecycle management empowers you to create applications that align directly with your business objectives. Collaborate with knowledge leaders in your organization as you design applications to address specific customer needs.

Create and enhance applications with powerful design features that help you to define typical case types, identify the stages that a case type goes through as work is completed, and design the processes required within each stage.

Powerful case design

Powerful case design.

The Case Designer in Pega 7 features powerful enhancements for defining your case type. From the Case Designer landing page, configure email instantiation of cases, propagate data to subcases with a data transform, reduce processing conflicts with improved work locking, apply local actions to an entire case type, and configure instantiation settings at the subcase level.

Reuse supporting flows and local actions throughout your application, on entire cases or a specific case stage, rather than individually configuring subflows or assignments.

Manage and modify stages using the Process Outline view.

The Process Outline offers you a high level view of the processes and steps that define each stage in your   application.

Drill down from your case stages into individual steps and edit flows, assignments, and subcases. Enjoy full access to Process Modeler editing capabilities to update and manage the processes in each stage.

Simplify process definition with the new Process Modeler.

New Smart Shapes menu in Process Modeler

Quick and easy process definition.

The Process Modeler is redesigned to include an improved Flow Shapes palette that organizes shapes for ease of use and accessibility. The new palette features an Advanced Shapes sub-menu that contains the more advanced, though less commonly used, flow shapes, such as the enhanced Split Join and Split For Each shapes. This gives you quicker, easier access to the shapes you use most often.

Simplified case processing.

Update SLA configurations in bulk with two new standard flow actions. With pyAdjustSLATimes, you can adjust current goal and deadline time of in-process assignments by specifying a fixed date and time, or a time interval. With pyAdjustSLA, you can also adjust SLA properties, such as goal time, goal action, and urgency on an assignment.

New Shapes. New Menus.

The new Smart Shapes submenu offers pre-configured processes or activities that enable you to use functions such as Duplicate Search or Cascading Approval quickly within your flow.

The new Wait shape prevents an assignment from moving forward for a specified interval or until another case reaches a specified status.

Deploy the new Case Manager dashboard and portal to make your applications even more user-friendly.

The new Case Manager dashboard and portal makes your case management applications easy for end users. Open cases are charted against case stages to provide workflow analysis, and Pega Pulse allows end users to exchange messages and files to foster collaboration.

You can bulk-process cases and assignments. Search for cases with customizable filters, then perform common actions against the selected items.
