Modal Dialog is not centered when using Pega SFDC extender

SA-503

Summary

The "Attach A File" modal dialog window is displayed at the bottom right of the screen when the user either clicks the Upload Quotes button or the Add Attachments link. Once the modal dialog window is displayed a busy icon displays in the background on the application main screen. The fields and buttons in the modal dialog window work, however it's displaced position and the busy icon in the background are confusing to users.

Error Messages

No error messages on the screen. The modal dialog appears displaced and the busy icon is displayed forever.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Login in to the pega application in SFDC portal.
2. Clicks the Upload Quotes button or the Add Attachments link to launch the modal dialog.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in customer application code/rules. SFDC Extender was used to perform the action 'Create New Work'. On checking the Pega Gadget Configuration it was found that the Harness name was set to None. This prevents CSS and scripts from loading as expected.

Resolution

Implement the below to resolve the issue -
1. Specify the harness name e.g. Perform Harness in the Pega Gadget configuration.
2. Delete the browser cache and retest.
