Back Forward Business architect

A role within a development project team, a business architect is a team member who is familiar with Business Process Management techniques and with the priorities and opportunities for improving the business operation.

While some familiarity with business software and Excel is expected, this is not a technical role; the focus is on costs and benefits, the BVA (Business Value Assessment) phase, reporting requirements of the application, and communications with project sponsors and stakeholders.

Pegasystems Educational Services offers a course Business Architect Essentials, that introduces business architects to PRPC terminology and the implementation methodology.
