Center of excellence (COE)

To encourage appropriate and best use of Business Process Management and PRPC, organizations can create a Center of Excellence, an internal organization that centralizes the resources and expert staff who can support all project roles, including business analysts, lead system architects, and administrators.

Typically, a COE staff is responsible for helping business managers identify appropriate opportunities, promoting reuse, and supporting individual application development efforts rather than taking full responsibility for building applications.
