Back Forward Cluster

Informally, a cluster is a collection of server computers that operate together to support an application.

In PRPC terms, a multinode system is a cluster. Nodes supporting PRPC are part of a system if they have the same system ID and share a PegaRULES database.

A cluster may have heterogeneous nodes in terms of hardware and operating system. For example, some nodes may use Microsoft Windows XP and Intel-based hardware, and others may use Solaris and Sun Microsystems hardware. (All nodes must use the same version of PRPC.)
