Effort

The term effort relates to a measure of the staff labor hours applied to working on an assignment or an entire work item. Effort may be expended off the system, in research, phone calls, or other activities.

The standard property Work-.pyEffortEstimate can capture a before-the-fact work effort estimate, in days and fractional days, for a work item. The related property Work-.pyEffortActual is available to your application to hold an actual effort value, also in days.

If your application uses these properties, managers can access standard reports that provide information about effort.
