Back Forward Interested party

A work item may identify several parties and the role of each, such as originator, customer, merchant bank, paying bank, broker, and so on. An organization or person who may receive information about a work item, but who is not an active participant with no responsibilities or influence is known as an interested party.

For example, in a credit card dispute, the spouse of the cardholder can be recorded as an interested party (unless the spouse is a cosigner of the credit card).

By convention, the index value "Interested" as a work party role identifies these parties.
