Back Forward LDAP-based authentication

Many large organizations have implemented a central facility that uses the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) to manage user information. If your company has an LDAP-compliant directory, you can use it to centralize the maintenance of user attributes (or only passwords), and reduce administration costs. Examples include IBM's Domino Server from Lotus and Microsoft Active Directory.

For information about configuring LDAP integration, see Authentication in Process Commander, a document in the Integration area of the PDN.

Note LDAP authentication does not affect authorization security and access control features, such as those defined by access groups, the RuleSet list, access roles and privileges.
