Back Forward Portlet

Java Specification Requests 168 and 286 define a set of Application Program Interfaces for portal computing, covering aggregation, personalization, presentation and security. This approach defines a portlet.

The Service Portlet rule type implements the Java Specification Request 168 or 268 through a package of services.

Two standard harnesses Work-.SimplePerform and Work-.SimpleConfirm and several sections and flow actions are portlet compliant.

TipPegasystems' optional Internet Application Composer (IAC) product provides an alternative to Service Portlet rules, for integration of a PRPC application with an internal website or the World Wide Web. In many situations, IAC may be easier to deploy and configure than full portlet implementations.
