About EJB connector rules

03-04 C-601Use this rule to define and configure a connector to an Enterprise JavaBean on a local or remote system. The services are deployed as Enterprise JavaBeans (EJBs) within a Java Enterprise Edition (Java EE) application server, such as IBM's WebSphere or Oracle WebLogic.
At runtime, the system locates the local or remote services and connects to them using the Java Naming and Directory Interface (JNDI) protocol.
Use the Application Explorer or 
> Integration > Definitions > Implementations to list the Connect EJB rules in your application.
Select > Integration > Connectors > Connector and Metadata Wizard to start the Connector Accelerator to create a Connect EJB rule.
Use the Records Explorer to list all Connect EJB rules that are available to you.
C-609 You can use an accelerator tool to generate classes, properties, and Connect EJB rules, rather than creating them one by one through rule forms. See About the Connector and Metadata accelerator.
To debug your application, you can simulate an EJB connector when the external system is unavailable or lacks a test environment. See Creating Connector Simulations.
Connect EJB rules can be referenced in an Integrator shape (
) of a flow rule, or on the Definition tab of a Data Page rule, as the source of data for the contents of the data page.
A Connect EJB rule is an instance of the Rule-Connect-EJB class. Connect EJB rules belong to the Integration-Connectors category.
