Back Forward How to pin a class in the Application Explorer

Pinned classes help you quickly access items in the Application Explorer without having to explicitly type a class name in the autocomplete field. This is especially helpful when you want to view the contents of classes with different inheritance paths simultaneously.

Pin an individual class

To pin an individual class, first load it in the Application Explorer by specifying the class name (or the name of a parent class) as the root node. Hover on the class name and click the pin icon. The Pinned Classes section at the bottom of the Application Explorer automatically refreshes to add the new class.

Once you have pinned a class, you do not have to load it in the Application Explorer to unpin it. Hover on the class name as it appears in the Pinned Classes section or the Application Explorer tree, and click the unpin icon.

Pinned classes support all features and right-click actions as if they were traditionally loaded in the Application Explorer tree. Any filter selections made in the Application Explorer tree are also applied to the Pinned Classes section.

NoteIf you do not see expected results in an expanded, pinned class, review selections made in the application scoping control.

Pin multiple classes

To add, edit, or remove multiple pinned classes, click the Edit button in the Pinned Classes section. The names of existing pinned classes appear in a grid format. You can:

Click OK when finished. All changes are automatically saved to your Operator ID.

Saving pinned classes between sessions

Pinned classes are stored by access group for your Operator ID. They persist between sessions until explicitly unpinned.

Note: You cannot pin classes when logged into the system as [email protected].
