Settings landing page

Access the Settings landing page from the Designer Studio menu by clicking Reporting > Settings.

The following tabs are available on this landing page:

Using the Settings tab

From the Settings tab you can manage resource limits when running reports, or when exporting data from reports. You can also set the default behavior for charts in report definition reports. The Settings tab has three sections.

Resource limits when running reports

This section shows the current settings for two values:

Click the edit icon to open the system settings data instance controlling either of these settings. Each data instance has five rows labeled System Settings Per Production Level.

To change the settings for one or all production levels, save a copy of the instance into a RuleSet and update the fields you want to change. Save the instance. The change affects all operators using access groups that have the RuleSet you saved the instance into as the top RuleSet in their Production RuleSets list.

You might need to log out and log in again for the changes to take effect.

You can also adjust these settings for a report in the General Data Source Settings section of the Data Access tab of the report definition rule.

You can set the default settings for all report definitions created within a particular class in the pyDefaultReport (for list reports) and pyDefaultSummaryReport (for summarized reports) templates for that class.

Resource limits when exporting data from reports

This section shows the current settings for two values:

See the notes for the previous section for information on updating these settings.

Display options for report definition charts

The controls in this section set the default behavior for charts associated with report definitions.

Using the Maps tab

For map charts displayed in reports on each class, use the Maps tab to define how to associate known map regions, or areas with property values in that class. If these associations are not defined correctly, the data might not display, or might display and be associated with the wrong regions.

When you enter valid choices in each field, a list appears of regions or areas in the map that you selected. For each region, enter an appropriate property value from the class.

Inspect the data source that you are using, and apply the property values used in the data source to the property value fields of the map regions.
