Proposition Filter rule form
Completing the Filter Criteria tab

  1. About
  2. New
  3. Filter criteria
  4. Default behavior
  5. History

In this tab, you can set specific criteria for propositions that belong to a particular business issue and group. You can use these criteria together with the criteria that are defined in default behavior, or you can use the specific criteria to override the default behavior.

To set specific criteria for a proposition, do the following steps:

  1. Open an instance of the Proposition Filter rule. It is associated with propositions.

  2. Optional: In the Propositions section, specify criteria to filter propositions.

    1. In the SHOW section, select one of the following options:
      • All in this group - It displays all propositions.
      • Only using default behavior - It displays the propositions that use default behavior.
      • Only using specific filter criteria - It displays the propositions that use specific criteria.
  3. In the Proposition table, select a proposition for which you want to set specific filter criteria.

  4. In the PROPOSITION EVALUATION section, select behavior for the proposition:

Note: If you do not change the default option in this section (you leave the Criteria defined in default behavior option selected), the proposition uses only the criteria that are defined in default behavior. In such situation, skip the rest of the procedure.

  5. Configure specific filter conditions.

    1. Click Add when rule and specify the following information:

      • An ID for the rule instance. For example A.

Use this ID in the expression that you specify in the LOGIC STRING field.

      • A name of the When rule instance that you want to reference.

Repeat this step to configure more instances of the When rule.

    2. Click Add strategy and specify the following information:

      • An ID for the rule instance. For example B.

Use this ID in the expression that you need to specify in the LOGIC STRING field.

      • A name of the Strategy rule instance that you want to reference.

      • A component of the Strategy rule instance to get its output propositions.

Repeat this step to configure more instances of the Strategy rule.

    3. In the LOGIC STRING field, use arithmetic, logical, and other Java operators to specify logical expression. For example A and B

  6. Click Save.
