Case-type dependencies for child case types are stored in the pyDependents page group of the relevant, top-level case type. Your application updates the contents of this page group each time that you modify your case type hierarchy in the Case Type Explorer.
The following examples illustrate how case-type dependencies are managed:
You create a top-level case type by promoting a child case type.
All dependencies for your case type are deleted because top-level case types do not support dependencies. All dependencies on your case type are also deleted because child case types can only depend on case types that share the same top-level case type.
You demote a top-level case type by adding it as child to one your existing child case types.
All dependency information that is stored in your case type is relocated to the new top-level case type in the hierarchy.
