Configuring the Push Notification shape

You can configure the Push Notification shape after you add it to a flow. By customizing the shape, you can notify one or more users that a case requires action.

  1. Double-click the Push Notification shape in a flow, or click a step in Case Designer that uses the Push Notification shape.

  2. Identify the notification recipients.

  3. In the Message field, click the arrow and select a property reference to display to the user. Add text to create a verbose notification to be displayed on a mobile device, for example: "We have processed your application:" + .pyCaseID

  4. In the Badge count field, click the arrow and select a property that stores the number of notifications.

  5. Optional: Select Open a case in mobile app to enable opening a case that the push notification shape is part of in a custom mobile app running on the user's mobile device.
  6. Optional: Select Sound alert to give an audible cue to users when the push notification is received.

  7. In the Audit note field, click the arrow and select the name of a field value that is added to the history, or audit trail, of the case when the Push Notification shape is processed.

  8. Click Submit.
