Configuring a custom mobile app

To build a custom mobile app, set up the following parameters. You can only build one custom mobile app for both Android and iOS platforms in the Pega 7 Platform.

1. In Designer Studio, click the name of your Pega 7 Platform application and click Open Mobile Apps.

2. Choose one of the following options.

   If the custom mobile app exists:

   1. Click a custom mobile app icon.
   2. Click the Build tab.
   3. In the Configuration section, verify the required fields.
   If you did not create the custom mobile app:

   1. Click New to create a new mobile app.
   2. In the Configuration section, enter a name for the mobile app.
   3. In the Mobile app type property, click Custom.

3. Optional: Configure app branding.
4. Optional: Upload custom modules.
5. Optional: Fine tune the custom mobile app. See the Overriding Mobile Apps form settings with Hybrid Container properties PDN article.
6. If required, build the app for the Android platform.
7. If required, build the app for the iOS platform.
8. Click Save.
