Displaying a list of recent items in your application

You can display a list of the most recently accessed cases, rule or data instance records, Create New and Save As forms, landing pages, Wizard items, and instance lists in your application. This enables users to view and open recent items easily.

Display a list of recent items in your application

By default, when you add a recent item list to your application, it displays the 20 most recently accessed items. The list automatically updates whenever a user opens one of these items. You can customize the recent list, if desired.

To display a list of recently accessed items in your application:

  1. Include pxRecent in a section within your application.
  2. Save the section.
  3. Enable tracking recent items by including the PegaRULES: TrackRecents access role.

Customize the recent item list

You can easily customize the display of the recent item list, modifying the:

You can also customize the recent list to include other harnesses or record types, for example, non-work or non-rule records.

As a best practice, ensure that the number you specify as the Page size (number of rows) on the General tab of the recent item grid is the same number specified in the Maximum Documents field of the dynamic container used in the portal.
