Creating a hierarchy of case types

You can use the Case Type Explorer to create a hierarchy of case types in your application. By defining parent-child relationships, you can model dependencies in your application and share data among cases.

Caution: Do not use the Create form to create case types, because it does not generate the standard rules that make a case type functional.

  1. Review the existing case types in your application.

  2. Optional: To reuse case types from a built-on application, import case types.

  3. Create top-level case types.
