Actions after FlowAction(Target-Overlay) not working as expected

SA-31806

Summary

User has configured a link with the following actions-sets:

1.Local action (Overlay)
2.Refresh section

Immediately on click of the link, the overlay is displayed and also the section is refreshed, but this is not the same case with modal dialog as the target.

For the modal dialog the actions take in sequence that is, after closing the modal dialog (on submitting) only the section is refreshed.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1)Create a link or Icon.
2) Configure the following action on the link or Icon control.
    a)Local action (Overlay)
    b)
.Refresh section

On lauching the overlay, one can observe from the tracer that the refresh section gets triggered in parallel to the local action.

Root Cause

The stopping of the actions configured after launch overlay is not done on puprose.

For Overlay, the background is not masked, so user is free to click on the background components, but for Modal Dialog the background is masked which makes user to explicitly close the Modal Dialog to perform other actions but in overlay it is not.

Also the "Refresh Section" will be made implicitly after Overlay gets submitted, no need to configure a refresh section action after overlay, incase of any pre-activity or pre-datatransform is required for refresh, it can be added as a post activity for the Local Action.

Resolution

The "Refresh Section" will be made implicitly after Overlay gets submitted, hence calling refersh section explicitly after calling Launch-Local action (Overlay) is not necessary.
