Summary

When a user clicks an item on an autocomplete control, data does not get loaded. After few seconds data gets populated in drop-down.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create an Auto Complete.　
2. Create a Data Page and use activity as source to load the data.
3. Refer this Data Page in Autocomplete properties and values loaded as expected in the autocomplete.
4. Click down arrow or enter text in auto-complete.
5. Observe that the data is not getting loaded quick enough.  

Root Cause

Data page was load from an activity and this custom activity is doing lots of data processing and causing performance delay.

Resolution

Tune the performance of the data page loading by optimizing the “Refresh Strategy” available under “Load Management” tab of the data page as below or as per business requirement.


 

The refresh strategy can be tuned as per business requirement.
