Compatibility issue with Internet Explorer 11

Summary



Some components  of custom portal in  user interface of a section are not compatible in IE 11, but when it opened in compatible mode of IE 11, it works fine.


Root Cause



PRPC 6.2 SP2 portal are not HTML-5 compliance and so there are issues with that.
 

Resolution



Inform system administrator to enable the Borwser to run  all  the Intranet sites in Compatibility view by following these steps.

1. IE> Tools > Compatibility view Setting > Display intranet sites in compatibility view and enable checkbox. 

2.  In your custom portal, enable the meta tags to render it in IE-9  see the msdn link on how to use this :
