2016-05-02 14:14:22,256 [ STANDARD] [ PegaRULES:07.10] (sForInstance._baseclass.Action) ERROR abc.xyz.com |213.39.123.254 Remote.Support - Problem updating instance PEGASAMPLE W-232

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open standard activity RecreateIndexesForClass
  2. Execute with class parameter <ClassName>

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules :
The activity being used by customer is not production ready.

Resolution

User needs to update to Pega version 7.2.1 in order to use the activity effectively.
In Pega 7.2.1, A new REST service pzExposeColsService is added to handle index regeneration requests from prpcServiceUtils.bat/sh
It forwards the request to an activity "pzRunExposeColsHandler" which does the index generation job
Both the rest service or the activity takes the parameters "list of classes" and include descendants
as in the column populate API
