Issue related to Search Index File Directory

SA-6031

Summary



Search Index Host Node Setting in Pega 7.1.7 was set to default temp directory location for search index file directory. User was unable to override this setting nor you were able to update/delete the location of file directory for Elastic Search. After submitting any value for file directory, it was getting reset to the default temporary directory.

Steps to Reproduce



Go to System setting -> Search -> Search Index Host Node Setting

Root Cause



Temporary location for Search Index File Directory was saved as 'PEGA-ENGINE!PRCONFIG/IDENTIFICATION/CLUSTER/NAME' in PR_DATA_ADMIN table.


Resolution



As a local-change, suggested user to execute following SQL which deletes this entry from PR_DATA_ADMIN table and has helped resolve the issue:


DELETE FROM PEGADATA.PR_DATA_ADMIN WHERE pxInsName LIKE 'PEGA-ENGINE!PRCONFIG/IDENTIFICATION/CLUSTER/NAME';
