"java.lang.UnsupportedClassVer" post PegaCALL 7.1.3.1 upgrade

Summary



An upgrade to PegaCALL 7.1.3.1 was performed to achieve automatic failover functionality. Since the upgrade, the CTI link engines have stopped working. HFix-22419 and HFix-21430 were installed as per the upgrade guide. Additionally, a route key call issue HFix was installed: HFix-23213. 
On checking Version information tab under PegaCALL: Administration & Configuration, it does not seem to be accessing PegaCALL Engine / prchannelservices.jar. 



Error Messages

java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: JVMCFRE003 bad major version; class=com/pega/pegacti/error/ChannelServicesException, offset=6


Steps to Reproduce



Check Version Information tab of PegaCALL: Administration & Configuration.


Root Cause



Code was compiled in Java 7, causing issues when using IBM JVM version 6.  

Resolution



Install HFix-22630 to resolve the issue.
