Localization tool can only translate the default application

SA-23345

Summary

Existing translations are not included in the generated translation package (TextToTranslate.xml) when translating an application to another language using the translation wizard. The application is not set as the operator default.

This works as expected for the default application.

Example: TextToTranslate.xml for application when default and not default.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

1. Log into an application as a designer.
2. Switch to another application that has existing translations.
3. Run the localization wizard, and include the existing translations. Existing translations are not included in the package.

Root Cause

If an operator is a member of multiple access groups and has access to multiple applications, the localization wizard does not pick up existing translations when the application, the operator switches to, is other than default.

Resolution

Perform the following local-change:
Set the application that requires translations to be the operator default.

OR

Apply HFix-27500.
