Need refresh section after submiting modal window

SA-3854

Summary

Developer has folowing section structure

|-MainSection

-|-SubSectionWithButtonForCallingModalWIndow(this calling modal window)

-|-SubSectionWeNeedToRefresh

Upon submitting modal window only SubSectionWithButtonForCallingModalWIndow refreshed, but also need SubSectionWeNeedToRefresh to be refreshed

Steps to Reproduce

Create MainSection.

Include in
SubSectionWithButtonForCallingModalWIndow section with button for opening ModalWindow and one more section with some fields that we can change in ModalWindow.

Run application, open ModalWindow by button, change some values in ModalWindow and submit it.

Expected result:

Both section was refreshed

Actual result:

Only section with button for calling ModalWindow was refreshed

Resolution

You can add two actions on the Click Event for the button click that calls Model Window.

1st to call Local action that open Modal Dialog and 2nd to Refresh section(Other section) that you want to refresh follwoing submitting modal window.

Second action will be triggered after the local action is submitted.

This idea about adding two events is derived from this PDN article : https://pdn.pega.com/user-interface/how-to-refresh-any-section-on-a-user-form-using-a-click-action-control
