Number displays as text in Excel, after exporting

Summary



When exporting the data into excel, using MSOGenerateExcelFile activity, the integer data type property (when exported to excel) displays as Text.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Create an excel template.
2. Create any pagelist with list of values having integers.
3. Use MSOGenerateExcelFile by passing the template and the pagelist created.
4. Export to Excel.


Root Cause



A software use or operation error. User was using template in download excel activity. Due to the use of template number or currency formatting was appearing as text in the excel sheet.
 

Resolution



Perform the following local-change:

Use Proerty-Set-HTML  and use HTML stream (including a section with the repeating grid having the columns to be displayed) to create the stream rule that is to be passed to viewExcelData as the parameter.
With this change, original issue related to number or currency appearing in text issue is resolved but using this activity, excel styles were not appearing.
Add style to the cells in the grid containing the columns.
