Optimized properties display truncated values

SA-12845

Summary

The length of the database columns for optimized properties within an Index associated with a Declare Index is increased. However, it is observed that reports that reference those properties still display data that is restricted to the previous length.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Increase the length of database columns for optimized properties, and execute a report that references these properties.

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is software use/operation error, which resulted in the indexes not rebuilt after the database columns were updated.

Resolution

This issue is resolved through the following local-change:

To ensure that the updates to the database are recognized by the system,  perform a "Test Connection" and a "Save" on each of the Class and Data-Admin-DB-Table instances associated with the database table that was updated.

To rebuild the indexes, execute the out-of-the-box activity, Code-.RecreateIndexesForClass, for the Class associated with the updated database table.
