SA-17541

Summary

Error Messages

No error messages

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a page(NewPage) with pagelists(insidePage)
  2. Add some(say 5) properties in the pagelists
  3. Set 5 properties with values in the pagelist(insidePage)
  4. Copy the NewPage page to a temp page(NewTemPage) set the 2 properties in pagelist
  5. Use merge into with keep 1 and use the source page as NewTempPage
  6. Expected output: NewPage should have 5 properties with 2 properties updated with values from NewTempPage, Actual Output: NewPage has just 2 properties in pagelist.

Root Cause

This issue was determined to be a product enhancement request.

Page-Merge-Into for page list on destination page is overriding the page list property from the source page, but for rest of the properties if we are using keep 1 method then it will override only the ones that are changed and keeping the rest of properties as it is, User expects the similar behaviour in the page list properties, the source should just override the changed properties and not the whole page.

Resolution

An enhancement request item FDBK-13591  has been created for consideration by Pega Product Management.
