Proposition Data issue with date field when manual edit done

Summary
When attempting to manually edit any field in Proposition Data, date formatting characters ("/") are added to the XML value for date fields. For example, 20201231 becomes 12/31/2020.
Error Messages
Not Applicable.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Proposition Data from the Designer Studio (Designer Studio > Decisioning > Decisions > Proposition Management > Proposition Data).
- Select a Proposition and click on edit.
- Edit any field and submit the changes.
- Formats can be observed in the Data instances XML.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
Resolution
This issue is resolved in Pega 7.1.8.
