PRPC shows WebSphere error instead of login screen

Summary



You are running PRPC under Websphere with a Split Schema. You see the below errors, on screen and in the logs, when you try to log in.

Error Messages



"Unable to obtain build properties due to java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: null" on the browser screen.

"No mappingConfigAlias found for ConnectionFactory or DataSource jdbc/PegaRULES
No container-managed authentication alias found for ConnectionFactory or DataSource jdbc/PegaRULES."
"(!) Unable to use given database configuration
(!) Unable to locate classes on filesystem"
In SystemOut log.


Steps to Reproduce



1) Go to the URL of your PRPC application


Root Cause



The root cause of this problem is software use/operation error. 
The PegaRulesDefaultSchema namespace binding was not configured.

Resolution



Make sure the following Websphere properties are configured correctly (according to the deployment guide):

1) The PegaRULESDefaultSchema JNDI binding (Environment> Naming > Name
Space Bindings > PegaRULESDefaultSchema binding name set by the admin)

2) The PegaRULES Data source (JDBC Providers > Oracle JDBC Driver > Data
sources > PegaRULES > JAAS - J2C authentication data > Pega DB user name
set by the admin
)
