pxIndexPurpose Property Definition and Column Size Do Not Match

Summary



A save error occurs when the value of the pxIndexPurpose property exceeds 32 characters in length.

Error Messages



pyCommitError: ** The key property pxIndexPurpose in database PegaDATA is too big for its column; column size 32, property size: 55.

Steps to Reproduce



1. Set the pxIndexPurpose property for Index- class objects to a value greater than 32 characters.
2. Save the object/record to the database.

Root Cause



The value of the pxIndexPurpose property is greater than the size specified for the database column.

Resolution



Increase the size of the pxIndexPurpose column in the database to varchar2(64).
