Summary
You observe errors when sending email notifications to a large number of recipients at once.
Error Messages
2015-06-17 07:51:59,261 [] [TABTHREAD3] [ Ruleset:Version] (pega_integrationengine_default) ERROR Host|IP user- Unexpected exception caught while trying to send an email message.
javax.mail.SendFailedException: Invalid Addresses;
nested exception is:
com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPAddressFailedException: 452 Too many recipients received this hour
Steps to Reproduce
Send email notification to observe the error.
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the operating environment. The receiving email server IPS is throttling the sending SMTP email server.
Resolution
This issue is resolved through the following Local-change:
Update the sending email server to set default number of recipients to 200 per hour
