Steps to Reproduce

Create a Pega SOAP service where resposne will have a date element.
n the service mapping activity set blank/null to the date element. make a service call and check the resposne.
The date element will have value 1970-01-01

Root Cause

The root cause of this problem is a defect in Pegasystems’ code/rules.
XML stream rule is generation default date(epoch date) when the value is empty.
Service Response display 1970-01-01 if date not provided

Resolution

This issue is resolved by hotfix item Hfix-20672.
