System can't Read Date value from Date Time Service Response

SA-20258

Summary

System does not set proper value from Response to the required property when SOAP service uses DateTime value. The set value uses hyphen (-). For example, if the Service brings 010120010000.00 GMT and the property is Date, the date is set as 01-01-2001.
Parsing Rule is XML Literal.

Error Messages

Not Applicable

Steps to Reproduce

Invoke deployed web service.

Root Cause

The behavior of parse rules changed in Pega 7.x unlike in Pega 6.x. The format uses hyphen for DateTime property.

Resolution

Set SwitchToOldAssembler Dynamic System Setting (DSS) to False, so that parsing uses new behavior.
