BIX extract fails with an error message.

Error Messages



NAME1_NAME2: table doesn't exist in target Database: pegarules


Steps to Reproduce



When creating an Extract rule:

Specify:

Output format of Database Schema
Output database name of PegaRULES


For a specific propery, specify:

To Table as schema.tablename.


Root Cause



At runtime, a dot in the To Table specification is converted to an underscore since the dot is not a valid character for table names.
The table schema_tablename is not defined in the PegaRULES schema.

Resolution



The Output database name.was changed to the desired output schema, the schema name was removed from the To Table specification and the extract ran successfully.
