Steps to Reproduce

Test connectivity to a Hadoop cluster.

Root Cause

A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules

Resolution

Connecting to a Hadoop cluster as an external database, outside of the Predictive Analytics feature in DSM,  is not supported in Pega 7.1.8 and earlier releases.

Starting with Pega 7.2.x, connecting to a Hadoop cluster as an external source is available
only by installing relevant dependencies to the Pega Platform, as explained in this PDN Article, https://pdn.pega.com/jar-file-dependencies-hbase-and-hdfs-data-sets.
