Unsupported Data type CLOB

Summary



When a user runs a test connection for a class mapped to a table with a CLOB column an error is shown on the screen.


Error Messages



"Class Index-Example-Work-Cover is mapped to table ExampleTable.Pc_Index_Example_Work_Cover in database PegaDATA, which has column CASENAME of unsupported type CLOB"

Steps to Reproduce



Run a test connection on a class  mapped to a table with a CLOB column.


Root Cause



An issue in the custom application code or rules.  CLOB (Character large object) is not an officially supported data type by Pega Platform.
 

Resolution



Perform the following local-change: use a supported data type, such as VARCHAR2.
