Adding a new annotation to a flow removes all the existing ones

Summary
Sometimes after a new annotation shape has been dragged to a flow all the existing Annotation shapes disappear in Pega 7.1.7.

Steps to Reproduce
Drag a new Annotation shape to a flow.
Root Cause
A defect in Pegasystems’ code or rules.
This known issue exists on all browsers. User is encountering a known issue, which is described in the published support article:
Unable to add multiple annotation shapes in flow (SA-14561).
Resolution
This issue is scheduled to be resolved in update release Pega 7.1.8.
