The first thing you see when you log into the Sales Automation application is your dashboard.

Pega Sales Automation provides a default dashboard configuration for each role type: Sales Operations, Sales Manager, or Sales Representative. Sales operations can customize the default dashboard layout for the sales manager or sales representative. A sales manager or sales representative can also perform further customization on their own dashboard.

Customizing the Pega Sales Automation dashboard

Before performing dashboard customization, you must do one of the following:

• Open the dashboard template
• Open an operator's dashboard

After opening the dashboard editor:

• Perform dashboard customization

Open the dashboard template

In the Pega Sales Automation application, you must be logged into a Sales Operations user role to customize the default sales manager and sales representative dashboard templates. From the Tools menu, select either of the following:

• Personalize Mgr Dashboard
• Personalize Rep Dashboard

Once the dashboard template is open, perform steps shown in the Perform dashboard customization section.

Open an operator's dashboard

To customize your dashboard from a Sales Manager or Sales Representative user role, first click the edit mode icon.

Dashboard terminology

A dashboard is a part of the user interface that contains one or more widgets grouped into slots arranged within a template. A template is an arrangement of slots. Each slot can have multiple (or no) widgets assigned to it.

The following diagram illustrates a two-column dashboard. Dotted lines represent the slots, and multicolored shapes represent widgets.

Pega Sales Automation recommends the use of the SFA Two Column template. Other templates available from the Pega platform are shown below.
