Back ForwardCross-browser support for user portals

Users expect to be able to use the browser of their choice when interacting with an application through a browser. To ensure your application works properly with versions of all supported browsers, develop your user interface with composite portals. Composite portals use harnesses, for which PRPC generates cross-browser, standards compliant code.

NOTE: A number of PRPC features rely on ActiveX controls which are only supported by Internet Explorer. Applications that expect to support access from Firefox, Chrome or Safari browsers may not leverage these PRPC features or include new functions that require ActiveX controls.
