Back Forward Connector

This term has two uses.

Connectors in flows

In a flow, connector is an element that appears on a diagram for a flow as an arrow that connects two shapes. Connectors leaving an assignment shape typically represent flow actions. Other connectors may be linked to a when condition rule.Connector

To add a connector to a flow diagram when using Process Modeler, click the "from" shape first. A set of dots or connection points appear around the edge of the shape. Click a connection point and drag to the destination shape. You can then update the connector properties.

Connectors for system integration

A connector is a PRPC programmatic component that defines and implements an interface between a PRPC application acting as a client and an external system acting as a server. A connector is implemented by any of the rule types in the Integration Connectors category.

You can use the Connector and Metadata accelerator to develop many connectors without the need to enter class rules, properties, or connector rules. When debugging connectors, you can test using a simulator.

Connectors support research by providing users with information retrieved from external systems.

Connector rule types are part of the Integration-Connectors category.
