Back Forward Working with My Checkouts and Bulk Actions

Quickly view, access, and take action on your checkouts with My Checkouts and Bulk Actions. These features are available in the Designer Studio header and the Private Explorer.

 

My Checkouts

Click the My Checkouts icon in the Designer Studio header to open a list of rules checked out by your operator. Rules are organized by type, name, and Applies To class. In the My Checkouts overlay, you can:

The message "No checked out records" appears when your operator does not have any rules checked out.

 

Using Bulk Actions

You can open, delete, or check out multiple rules at once using Bulk Actions. Access this feature by opening My Checkouts and clicking the Bulk actions link. A list of rules checked out by your operator appears in a new window.

 

To open checkouts in bulk:

  1. Check the box next to one or more rule names. Alternatively, you can click the Select All and Clear All links to make quick selections.
  2. Select the Open option from the drop down list at the bottom of the window.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Wait for the lock icon to appear in the Status column next to each selected rule name.
  5. Close the Bulk Actions window.
  6. Review each opened checkout in Designer Studio. If you do not have checkouts enabled, open the Recent Explorer to access each checkout.

 

To delete checkouts in bulk:

  1. Check the box next to one or more rule names. Alternatively, you can click the Select All and Clear All links to make quick selections.
  2. Select the Delete option from the drop down list at the bottom of the window.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Wait for the progress icon in the Status column to be replaced by:
  5. Click Refresh to see which rules remain checked out by your operator.
  6. Close the Bulk Actions window.

 

To bulk check in:

  1. Check the box next to one or more rule names. Alternatively, you can click the Select All and Clear All links to make quick selections.
  2. Select the CheckIn option from the drop down list at the bottom of the window.
  3. Enter a brief description of your checkout changes in the Check-in comments field.
  4. Optionally, enter text in the Bulk Prefix field and click Insert to apply a standard prefix to all comments.
  5. Click Start.
  6. Wait for the progress icon in the Status column to be replaced by:
  7. Click Refresh to see which rules remain checked out by your operator.
  8. Close the Bulk Actions window.

Bulk check in is not supported for private checkouts.

 

Using PMF integration with a bulk action:

If your application is enabled for Project Management tracking and integrated with the Project Management Framework, you can associate a check in with a PMF item on your worklist.

When following the instructions to perform a bulk check in, include these steps before you click Start:

  1. Select a PMF item from your worklist in the Associate to PMF Item drop-down list. This can be a bug, task, issue, or story.
  2. Enter a number in the Additional Hours field to indicate how many hours were spent on the PMF item.
  3. Check the Resolve box if (as part of this check in) you have completed PMF item.
