Bulk actions not working properly
SA-7879
Summary
You try to initiiate a Bulk Transfer operation by means of the "pyModalTemplateBulkProcessing" section. The transfer fails; you discover that the flow action name of "Transfer" is not getting passed to the activity which kicks off the Bulk Transfer.
Error Messages
"No flow action chosen"
Steps to Reproduce
1. Login in with a user who is privileged to use Bulk Actions
2. From operator menu select "Bulk Actions"
3. Filter and select work/multiple work for an operator.
4. Click "Transfer Assignment " from Select Action menu.
5. Select an operator from drop down list and press the OK button.
6. Analyze the result and Instruction column. Try Filter without changing operator to refresh the list.
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is a defect in customer application code/rules. The "pyModalTemplateBulkProcessing" rule which initiates the bulk transfer expects the flow action name to be present on the clipboard on the newAssignPage in the property newAssignPage.pyDefaultTaskStatus. Because of the way the activity is launched, the newAssignPage is not set up properly when the activity is triggered and this property is not present.
Resolution
This issue is resolved through the following local change: You have a button which when clicked presents a Menu with Content "pzBulkProcessingActions". You will change the action list on that button so that before the Menu choice is presented, you first fire an activity on the Server which will set the property "newAssignPage.pyDefaultTaskStatus" to "Transfer". This will ensure that the Bulk Transfer fires correctly.
