Steps to Reproduce
- Create a New Report and include a Date Time property.
- Run the report and click on Export to excel and in excel the date time format is in US date format instead of Australian format (DD/MM/YYYYY) . Also, schedule this report and the report gets delivered to your mailbox. When you open the excel, the date time format is in US Date format.
Root Cause
A defect or configuration issue in the operating environment
Locale settings are not configured properly
Pega was able to fix this issue with the solutions mentioned below. But, the users are leveraged to create their own reports in our application.
Every time the users create a new report with date time property we need to configure the control manually.
So, user needs a product fix to display the dates in Australian date format in UI, In export to excel and in schedule reports instead of configuring for each and every report.
Resolution
Perform the following local-change steps:
1. For export to excel - Changing the Use Locale to 'en_AU' from the locale settings resolves the issue.
2. For scheduled reports - By calling an activity 'UpdateLocaleSettings' in the 'pyExecuteTask' activity by passing the locale as 'en_AU' as parameter resolves the issue.
