How to import external jar files into database

SA-6150

Summary

Access to external JAR files are required. The files must be imported into  the database instead of including them on the classpath of each node.  The process must be automated using command line scripts.

Resolution

Make the following change to the PRPC operating environment:
  1. Import the JAR files into the database using prpcUtils tool that comes with the media. Import them into the Customer/06-01-01 codeset version that is provided by Pega, or to an application-specific codeset version, for example mycodeset/01-01-01. Refer https://pdn.pega.com/system-operations/how-to-import-or-export-an-archive-from-the-command-line for details on how to use the prpcUtils tool.
  2. If application-specific codeset version is used, then add DSS (properties/com.pega.pegarules.bootstrap.codeset.version.mycodeset/default with value of 01-01-01)  to include this codeset version to the system. The Customer/06-01-01 is automatically included with Pega.
  3. Restart the system.
