Java Function does not appear in Calculation Builder

Summary



A new function alias rule created for a Java function does not show up in the list of available functions in the Calculation Builder in Report Definitions.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new function alias rule for a Java function
  2. In a Report Definition, launch the Calculation Builder (fx button)
  3. Try to reference the newly created Java function alias in the Calculation Builder


Root Cause



A software use or operation error.  The Calculation Builder in Report Definitions will only show SQL-based function aliases that exist in the Embed-UserFunction class.

Resolution



Perform the following local-change: 

Re-design the required Java function as a SQL based function and save it into the Embed-UserFunction class.
