Menus in Pega 7 user portal do not work in IE compatibility mode

You have a Pega 7 application which does not display UI properly in Compatibility mode. In native mode it functions as expected.

Steps to Reproduce
Add the Pega system to the list of sites to display in compatibility mode in the browser.
Root Cause
The root cause of this problem is defect/misconfiguration in the operating environment. Pega 7 is designed for Standards mode,
Resolution
Switch the operating environment to IE Standards Mode.
