SSO with pxSessionTimer is behaving incorrectly

SA-18616

Summary

SSO is configured on CPMHC 7.1.3/PRPC 7.1.8, using pxSessionTimer section in the portal harness. Upon time out warning instead of log off, error messages on the timeout modal window appear for a fraction of second before log off. The timeout warning window is inconsistent in style.

Error Messages

Steps to Reproduce

1. Include pxSessionTimer in CPMHCInteractionPortalTop session.
2. Configure timeout warning as 1 min, and timeout after 2 min.
3. Set show authentication screen as "Modal" .
3. Add the same 120 secs timeout in accessgroup.
4. Launch the portal and observe the behavior.
5.Refer screen shots on attached document for more details.

Root Cause

Low values for testing. Testing with a 2 minute timeout and a 1 minute warning configuration.  When the modal timeout warning countdown  window displays there is still another timer running to display the modal timeout warning window again in 1 minute.   The Javascript timer for displaying the timeout warning countdown window could fire before or during the logoff when the current timeout warning countdown reaches 0.

Resolution

When testing timeouts using a pxSessionTimer you need to specify at least a timeout of 3 minutes when using a 1 minute warning.
